This celebrated Miami chef is opening a new Italian restaurant in Miami Beach

One of Miami’s most popular chefs is taking his talents to North Beach.

Giorgio Rapicavoli, the restaurateur behind Coral Gables favorites Luca Osteria and Eating House, will be opening a new Italian spot, Luca Trattoria, in Normandy Isles.

The restaurant will be located at 933 Normandy Drive, in a neighborhood that’s already home to local favorites like Silverlake Bistro and the Japanese spot Katana and just across the bridge from Cafe Prima Pasta.

Luca Trattoria will follow the example set by Luca Osteria, which opened on Giralda Avenue in 2021, with an Italian menu marginally tweaked to appeal to the new neighborhood. The beverage program, also an important part of Luca Osteria, will be run by mixologist and bar manager Eddie Fuentes.

The restaurant is expected to open this fall.
