FBI asks for public’s help in identifying suspect in Miami Lakes bank robbery

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking for public assistance in identifying a man, who is accused of robbing a bank in Miami Lakes.

The robbery happened around 9:25 a.m. Monday at 15615 NW 67th Ave., the FBI said in a Tuesday statement. The suspect entered a Wells Fargo Bank branch and demanded money from a bank employee.

No injuries were reported, the FBI said. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the South Florida Violent Crime and Fugitive Task Force and the FBI are investigating the incident.

The FBI didn’t provide a description of the suspect but shared a photo of a person outside the bank dressed in black and wearing a hoodie.

A spokesperson for the FBI said “he was not armed,” and the agency typically doesn’t “release whether or not money was taken or the amount.” Anyone with information about this robbery can call 1-800-CALL-FBI or go to tips.fbi.gov.
