The weekend-long celebration will be back in South Florida Nov. 12-14, 2027. This year’s Championship Weekend will be held at Homestead-Miami Speedway from Nov. 6-8, 2026.
The season-ending championship was held in Homestead from 2002 to 2019 and then NASCAR sent the event to Phoenix. It returns this year for the first time since 2020, and it will now be in Miami two years in a row.
“The South Florida community is thrilled to once again be the home for NASCAR Championship Weekend in 2026 and 2027, as next year will be the Speedway’s 20th time doing so,” said Guillermo Santa Cruz, Homestead-Miami Speedway President said in a statement.
Santa Cruz is excited about NASCAR having back-to-back years of events in South Florida again and the weekend is expected to have the star power to match.
NASCAR stars Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick are at the top of the rankings and are expected to compete during 2026’s Championship Weekend.

The following dates are set for 2027:
- Friday, Nov. 12 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series
- Saturday, Nov. 13 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series
- Sunday, Nov. 14 – NASCAR Cup Series
The return of the Championship Weekend coincides with a $20 million renovation of the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Fans can expect to see a new primary entry gate experience, remodeled Ally Champions Club and a larger fan zone.
“As we celebrate our 30th season, this capital investment reflects NASCAR’s long-term commitment to Homestead-Miami Speedway and the South Florida community,” Santa Cruz said.
Homestead-Miami Speedway opened in 1995 and was founded by Miami businessman Ralph Sanchez. The goal of opening the speedway was to stimulate economic recovery after Hurricane Andrew devastated the region in August 1992. Since then, the 650-acre complex has hosted on-track events almost 300 days every year.
In South Florida fashion, Homestead-Miami Speedway now offers a Beach Bash. The inside of Turn 3 has a 20,000- square-foot beach where fans can enjoy live entertainment and food and drink options while watching the race.
Tickets for the 2026 NASCAR Championship weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway are available on www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com. The NASCAR 2027 schedule is at www.nascar.com.
