That’s what’s happening with two lanes in both directions on the Palmetto Expressway between Northwest 12th and Seventh avenues at the Golden Glades Interchange, which have been closing at night.

The first lane closes at 9 p.m. and the second at 11 p.m., with all lanes reopening by 5 a.m. These closings began on Friday, Oct. 16, and will end on Friday, Oct. 23.

Additionally, two lanes in both directions on Florida’s Turnpike are closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Miami Gardens Drive and I-95. The work will be finished on Friday, Oct. 23.

Take note of other road closings around Miami-Dade and Broward counties:

Miami-Dade

• Hialeah Gardens: At least one lane on Okeechobee Road from east of Northwest 87th Avenue to 74th Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every day. Additional closings are 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. weekdays, and 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. weekends. Travel lanes along the road will also shift. Eastbound and westbound lanes on Okeechobee Road from the Palmetto Expressway to east of West 18th Avenue will shift north, and the ramp from Okeechobee Road to the northbound Palmetto Expressway will also be shifted north. Exit lanes along the northbound Palmetto will be reduced from two to one lane. On Monday, Oct. 26, and Tuesday, Oct. 27, the southbound 826 on-ramp at Okeechobee Road will be closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Miami: Northwest 14th Street from Third Avenue to First Place will be closed 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The closures will end on Friday, Oct. 30. Drivers going east on Northwest 14th Street can detour by turning right on Third Avenue, then turning left on 13th Street. Then turn left again on Northwest First Place to connect with 14th Street. Drivers going west on Northwest 14th Street can turn right on First Place, then turn left on 16th Street. Turn left on Northwest Second Avenue and continue to 16th Street, then turn left on Northwest Third Avenue and connect with 14th Street.

Broward

• Parkland: Loxahatchee Road from Parkside Drive to U.S. 441 will be closed through this fall. Drivers will be detoured via Parkside Drie, Holmberg Road and U.S. 441.
• Tamarac: Two eastbound lanes on Commercial Boulevard from University Drive to North Ocean Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at night as needed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Northbound and southbound side streets on Commercial Boulevard will also have two lanes closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Lauderhill: Two lanes on Broward Boulevard from Northwest 34th Avenue to Southwest 28th Avenue will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. and from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
• Pembroke Pines: Up to two lanes on University Drive from Pembroke Road to north of Johnson Street will be closed in each direction from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday
