Christopher John Miller’s body was found inside his home, the coroner’s office said in a news release. The house in a rural part of Ninety-Six, not far from the Saluda River, was hit by a large tree that was knocked down by the remnants of Isaias, according to the release.

The 67-year-old South Carolina resident’s body was found on the west side of the house, the coroner’s office said. Miller suffered blunt-force trauma in what the coroner’s office determined was an accident.

Miller was pronounced dead at 12:11 p.m., according to the release. His death continues to be investigated by the coroner’s office.

At least four other people — two in Florida and two in Alabama — were killed by the effects of the storm that made landfall in the U.S. last Friday, USA Today reported.

Two tornadoes caused by the storm’s remnants were confirmed in South Carolina, according to the National Weather Service. A pair of category EF1 tornadoes were reported Saturday in Barnwell County, the National Weather Service said.
