Woman extorts man she had fling with after discovering he had a girlfriend: MDSO

A woman was arrested on an extortion charge after Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detectives say she sent intimate photos to the girlfriend and business partner of a man she had a fling with after demanding he send her tens of thousands of dollars.

The woman, 19-year-old Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez, met the man at a restaurant that she worked at. They went out on a few dates, and then she found out he had a girlfriend, according to her arrest report.

She then began texting him threatening messages demanding $20,000 or else she would send his girlfriend and business partner intimate photos of her and the victim, detectives said. Every day he didn’t send the money, she would add $5,000 to the demand, according to the report.

The man refused, and Rodriguez Gonzalez responded by sending the business partner some photos, and asking him for the girlfriend’s phone number. She also wrote in the text, “Should I post this on my IG and tag everyone,” the report states.

Rodriguez Gonzalez then sent the girlfriend photos and said in a text that she will post them on her social-media accounts if she doesn’t get paid, according to the report. She also posted censored versions of some of the pictures on her TikTok, detectives said.

Rodriguez Gonzalez followed with more demands for the money, threatening to “escalate this worse,” the report states.

Detectives saw a text that she sent to another person, stating, “Remember I was trynna scam him. I’m finally getting to it,” according to the report.

The man went to the sheriff’s office’s Kendall District headquarters and showed deputies the messages. Deputies arrested Rodriguez Gonzalez on Friday. After she was read her rights, she gave a full confession, according to the arrest report.

She has been released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after posting a $7,500 bond. Information on her legal counsel was not immediately available.
