‘Real Housewives of Miami’ stars just had a mini-reunion. Here’s why

A handful of local cast members got together Tuesday night at Silverspot Cinema in downtown Miami for a fun cause.

On-and off-screen besties Marysol Patton and Alexia Nepola hosted a mini-premiere celebrating the sequel to the 1998 classic “Practical Magic.”

Part 2 picks up where the black comedy with a sci-fi twist, based on the 1995 novel by Alice Hoffman, left off. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles as witches, sisters Sally and Gillian Owens.

Their family curse? All men involved with an Owens woman eventually dies an early death.

Despite the macabre subject matter, the so-called chick flick was a huge success, and we’re betting that the latest one will be, too. According to Deadline, it’s heading for a global box office opening between $58 million and $63 million.

Also at the mini-reunion, flowing with potent potions (aka “cockies”), were familiar faces including model Kiki Barth, businesswoman Stephanie Shojaee and ex-beauty queen Julia Lemigova.

Patton told the Latin Times the reason the movie resonated with her before and now was due to one person in particular. That would be Nepola. The former publicist and Venue magazine editor, respectively, ran in the same 305 circle for years even before the Bravo show began in 2011, and have become beyond tight.

“This friendship that I have with her is the best part, truly,” Patton said, adding that being on “RHOM” and in the Bravoverse in general is almost like having another family without blood.

Nepola agreed and noted that critics sometimes focus on the negative; aka, the constant bickering, backstabbing and cat fights (we’re looking at you, three-part reunion special).

“But I think underneath all of that there is kindness, this world that makes us sisters forever,” she said.

It remains to be seen if we’ll see the ladies, as well as those missing in action at the “Magic” party (Lisa Hochstein, Adriana De Moura, Larsa Pippen) will be together on screen again.

In March, Bravo announced it would pause filming any more episodes of the franchise, and there would be no Season 8.

Shortly after the news broke, Bravo chief Andy Cohen said on his SIriusXM program that he wasn’t exactly pleased.

“I get the credit, and I get the blame,” said the media personality. “And I will say, this was not my decision. And by the way, look, I’m an EP [executive producer] on all these shows. If it was up to me, they would be rolling all the time and on. I mean, better for me.”
