Peta Murgatroyd is a Floridian now. Here’s what she thinks of her new home

Sure, South Florida has its share of haters, but Peta Murgatroyd isn’t one of them.

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum, 40, just shared an update of how she and her 47-year-old husband, Maks Chmerkovskiy, are settling into their new digs.

The TV personalities, who met as ballroom pros on the ABC reality competition, relocated with their three young sons Shai, 9, Rio, 3, and Milan, 2, from Los Angeles in late June.

At the time, they didn’t give one, specific reason for getting out of Dodge (not even income tax). Though mom did cite the “slower pace” of the Sunshine State in a travel vlog during the cross-country trip.

Seems Murgatroyd, who was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, and Ukrainian Chmerkovskiy, who moved to Brooklyn as a teen, made the right call. Their new home of Boca Raton is everything they envisioned and more.

In a now expired Instagram story Friday, Murgatroyd told her followers why they chose the picturesque Palm Beach County town about 40 miles north of Miami, and how it’s working for them.

“It kind of, has everything, the best of everything,” she gushed, adding the neighbors were “nice and accommodating,” schools were “top-rated,” kids’ sports were “amazing” and the ocean close by.

“We are loving every second,” said the two-time Mirrorball trophy champ.

Another big bonus? All the CVS or Walgreens pharmacies, which sell more than medicine these days, dotted around the neighborhood.

“I feel like at this stage of my life with three boys, I’m about convenience,” Murgatroyd said.

To celebrate their new and improved situation (and make some landlocked folks jealous), the pair recently teamed up for a hilarious joint Instagram video. Dressed in beach attire and standing in their kitchen, they do a version of the Internet skit of employees who call in sick with the microwave beeping in the background to sound like a heart monitor.

Chmerkovskiy — who recently came out with a vodka called Tetya Kapa after his aunt — tells his “boss” his wife is in the hospital as Murgatroyd taps the oven’s button in rhythm.

“Calling in sick due to a severe case of living in Florida,” said the caption, with a palm-tree emoji. “Team effort.”
