One killed, one detained, in Deerfield Beach shooting, BSO says

A man was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach late Wednesday night, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies found the man after responding to a shooting call at the 200 block of Southwest First Terrace around 10:15 p.m., the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue paramedics determined the man, who has not been identified, was dead, the agency said.

Deputies have detained a person, but it is not clear the charges, if any, he or she faces, according to BSO.

The case remains under investigation by BSO homicide detectives.
