Man shot during attempted robbery in Opa-locka gated community, police say
A man was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery in an Opa-locka gated community on Monday, according to police.

Opa-locka police officers responded to the Sailboat Cove community at 14301 NW 17th Ave., where a group of men tried to rob a man.
During the crime, one of the robbers pulled out a gun and shot the man in the leg, police say. The group of men then fled.
This is not the first shooting at Sailboat Cove. In January, four people were arrested in connection to a shooting that injured two 14-year-old boys.

Police have yet to announce any arrests or suspect information for the Monday shooting.
