Here’s what to know:

Flight delays in Miami

The Miami airport has partially opened one of two closed runways, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. One runway remains shut down and the airport’s two remaining runways are operating as usual.

The runway that just reopened will be just for departures taking off to the east. The NTSB will be working at the crash site for several more days, and no timetable was released for the full reopening of both closed runways.

The runway restrictions in Miami are affecting departing and arriving flights, leading to dozens of cancellations and delays since Sunday.

As of 6 a.m. Wednesday, 10 flights are delayed, according to tracking service FlightAware. On Tuesday, more than 250 flights were delayed at MIA and more than 40 were canceled.

NTSB investigators are scheduled to interview the two pilots of the Boeing 767-33A operated by 21 on Wednesday. .

Audio has been recovered from the cockpit and the agency plans to release the readout after the pilot interviews, according to the agency.

Safety issues?

Former pilots for the company that operated the Amazon cargo plane have expressed concerns over safety issues at North Carolina-based 21 Air.

One pilot accused his former employer of firing him for bringing to light concerns over flight safety, according to documents related to a whistleblower complaint that he filed, and another pilot resigned.
