Kalshi is betting on Spanish.
The federally regulated financial exchange, which operates like a betting app, allows users to predict who will win a local election or what jersey Lionel Messi will wear.

After traffic on the app surged among Spanish-speaking users interested in the World Cup and political elections in California and Florida, the company made the app available to use in Spanish.
“For people that really understand how powerful that information is, it’s important for them to understand in their native tongue,” said Clarissa Bronfman, Kalshi’s culture lead.
A strong demand from Spanish speakers led Kalshi’s to expand linguistically. Kalshi estimates that Spanish-language use of the app has multiplied by five since the beginning of 2026 and Spanish-speaking users now make up 12% of the platform.

Bronfman is looking forward to seeing how Spanish-speaking users trade on things that are interesting to them and also things that are important to their everyday lives.
“You see people trading on elections, but also things fun like who will play the next James Bond,” she said.
Users can download the Spanish version of Kalshi on Apple’s App Store and Android’s Google Play Store. For more information, visit www.kalshi.com.
