Forget that old Groucho Marx quote: “I don’t care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members.”

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are likely quite pleased they have finally gained entry into the ultra exclusive country club in Indian Creek Village, the manmade island known as Billionaire Bunker in Miami Beach. Page Six reports that the former New Yorkers will now get to hobnob with their neighbors in the lap of luxury. Other high rollers who have already made the cut: Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Jersey Mike’s founder Peter Cancro and famed corporate raider Carl Icahn.

An individual familiar with the activities at the club confirmed to the Miami Herald that the Kushners were accepted.

The former White House advisors bought a $30 million plot of land in the ridiculously exclusive enclave almost six years ago during the height of COVID for obvious reasons. The 300-acre gated community has its own mayor, 24-hour police force by both land and sea, private waste disposal, and just 41 residences. Located west of Surfside and Bay Harbor Islands and south of Bal Harbour, the location is more than just geographically attractive. A big plus: Everyone in this prestigious playground has a prime, waterfront view of Biscayne Bay and beyond.

But it hasn’t been easy for the parents of three to keep up with the Joneses, The Wall Street Journal first reported in August. Just being a resident doesn’t guarantee access to the on-site club, which features an 18-hole golf course, pool, gym and other amenities. And paying the roughly $1 million initiation fee and annual dues of about $44,000 don’t either.

It’s all about who you know in the bunker’s inner circle, the WSJ explains, adding wannabes need a good word put in by fellow members on their behalf. In the Kushners’ case, Mary Anne Shula, the widow of legendary Dolphins coach Don Shula, stepped up as sponsor and helped with introductions to the club’s board. But when the high-profile duo hosted a housewarming party at their compound, only about half the board reportedly showed up. The “signal seemed clear” that they were in trouble socially.

Patience paid off, though. After the “initial snub,” the erstwhile handbag designer and investor/Donald Trump-appointed peace envoy got their wish and are in like Flynn. The notice has likely already gone out in the mail, an insider told Page Six.

Apparently, the reason the Kushners didn’t get off on the right foot at the outset was due to the polarizing political climate, which included the Jan. 6 uprising at the Capitol.

“It only takes one member to object against any new member,” a source added.

The news may not sit well with fellow celebrities who live down the road, and we’re not talking about NFL Goat Tom Brady, he’s good. That would be Miami-raised Jeff Bezos and his second wife, Lauren Sanchez.

According to widespread media reports, the newly married jetsetters who own more than $234 million worth of real estate spread across three properties, also want to rub elbows at the club, which has about 350 people, but have been denied.

The Amazon founder and former “Inside Edition” reporter should, however, eventually get the call, if they put the work, participate in mixers and events in and bide their time.

Want more intel about this mysteriously elite fortress? It’s a tough nut to crack because this place is locked up like Fort Knox. A mere member of the public can’t just mosey on over there to see how the one percent lives (we tried, and failed).

ICV’s Mayor Bernard Klepach told us for a 2024 Miami Herald article that the security of residents is a top priority.

“We take pride in our community here and what it has to offer,” he said.

As for the Bezos situation, Klepach referred us to the club, which does have a cryptic website in which you need a log-in and password to enter. Reached by phone Monday, general manager Clarece Depkin told us someone else in the hierarchy would call us, but we did not immediately hear back.

But our little birdie confirmed the Page Six story to the Miami Herald, adding the invite-only club is indeed “in the process” of confirming Bezos and Sanchez.
