Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 2: Romeo Doubs, TreVeyon Henderson, Hunter Henry

With A.J. Brown sidelined, look for New England’s other skill-position players to step up in his absence and take his targets.

Hunter Henry: Low-End TE 1

Over the last two seasons, Hunter Henry has emerged as a security blanket for Drake Maye, particularly on third downs to move the chains.

In a game that has rain in the forecast, deep shots down the field will be hard to come by. This actually works in Henry’s favor as a short-to-intermediate route option. Additionally, his 6’5” frame makes him the perfect red-zone threat for the third-year quarterback. Just as Maye trusts Henry, your fantasy lineup should trust that he will outperform his 3-reception, 26-yard game from Week 1.

TreVeyon Henderson: Flex

As he proved last season, with four rushing touchdowns of 50 yards or more, the second-year running back is capable of turning any play into a score. He is a dynamic playmaker when you get him the ball in space and is a welcome addition to a Patriots offense that desperately needs playmakers in Brown’s absence.

The only question is what the backfield split will look like, as he recovers from a right ankle injury. In Week 1, Rhamondre Stevenson had 18 carries but only mustered 51 yards against a stout Seattle defense. Look for Henderson to eat into those carries and be a factor in the passing game.

Romeo Doubs: Sit

The offseason 4-year, $68 million signing of Romeo Doubs has not paid off through one week. Even after Brown went down, Doubs failed to reel in any of his three targets, including his dramatic fourth-quarter drop.

His post-game comments saying he “wasn’t locked in enough” also don’t give fantasy owners confidence heading into Week 2.

While Josh McDaniels may look to rebuild his receiver’s confidence by getting him involved early, after putting up a goose egg in Week 1, Doubs should not be in your fantasy team’s starting lineup until he proves otherwise.
