Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden finished with a game-high 104 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott completed 34 of 54 passes for 258 yards, along with a touchdown and two interceptions. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb caught a game-high nine passes, but wide receiver Pickens finished with a team-high 73 receiving yards.

Pickens had his best year as a pro with the Cowboys in 2025, finishing third in the league with 1,429 receiving yards. At the start of the 2026 NFL regular season, Pickens did not reach 100 yards in any of the first four weeks.

With mounting pressure on head coach Brian Schottenheimer to involve Pickens more as the offense falters, Schottenheimer went public to discuss the 6-foot-3 wide receiver’s place in the offense.

On the social media website X, The Athletic’s Jon Machota reported on Schottenheimer’s comments on Pickens. When asked if the offense is creative enough to involve Pickens, Schottenheimer answered in the affirmative, saying that the impetus for his involvement grows when the offense struggles and that it is something the offensive staff is focused on. He also mentioned how game scripts can sometimes alter game plans.
