Man shot in ‘lower extremities’ in Gladeview area, Miami-Dade deputies say

A man was shot Monday afternoon in the Gladeview area, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Around 1:42 p.m., deputies responded to a ShotSpotter Alert in the area of Northwest 18th Avenue and 63 Street, the sheriff’s office said. They found a man, who was not identified by authorities, suffering from a gunshot wound “to his lower extremities.”

He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in an “unknown medical condition,” the sheriff’s office said. Detectives are investigating.

No additional details were immediately available Monday, MDSO said, and there was no information about the possible shooter or shooters.
