Here are some things to remember.

• Traffic is heavier the first day of school as more parents take their children to school.
• Most school zones are 15 mph.
• School buses have cameras, so if you pass one with lights on and stop sign extended, you could be cited.
• If you’re heading to work Thursday, leave about 15 minutes early to deal with the delays on the road.
• It doesn’t end with the morning rush: Afternoon dismissal also slows up traffic from 2 to 4 p.m.

School in Broward and Palm Beach counties started on Monday. Take note: School buses in Broward also are equipped with cameras.
