While a woman was using a bathroom, she spotted a man recording her from a neighboring stall, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said in an arrest affidavit. She quickly left the bathroom and reported the voyeurism incident to Miami Dade College Public Safety officers.

As authorities were searching for the man, they found a “hysterical” student, the affidavit said. She was shouting and pointing in the direction of a man, who was running from her.

She told authorities that she saw a black cellphone recording her from underneath the stall while she was urinating in a different women’s restroom, the affidavit said. She confronted him and demanded he delete the video.

The man pushed her, and she fell onto the toilet seat, causing a possible fracture to her left knee, the affidavit said. Once she regained her composure, she chased the man out of the restroom and through a breezeway.

A good Samaritan joined the chase and detained Rishard Trivell Parsons, 31, of Miami, along with officers.

Parsons was taken to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Special Victims’ Bureau for an interview, the affidavit said. He allegedly admitted to committing acts of voyeurism against both women. The women, who were not identified, are 28 and 60 years old.

Parsons was arrested on one count of felony battery and two counts of misdemeanor voyeurism. He was being held Wednesday with “bond to be set” at Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, jail records show. He didn’t have a defense attorney listed yet.

He was convicted in connection with a 2024 voyeurism incident in Miami-Dade, court records show. Parsons was also previously convicted of burglary and aggravated battery.

Anyone with information, or anyone who believes they might have been a victim, is asked to contact the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. Individuals may provide information anonymously by contacting Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.

A spokesperson for Miami Dade College had yet to respond Wednesday to a request for comments.
