12-year-old girl shot while sitting in a car in Northwest Miami-Dade: MDSO
A 12-year-old girl was shot while sitting in a car with her two siblings outside a home near Liberty City early Tuesday morning, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The girl was shot in the “upper extremities,” in the area of Northwest 21st Avenue and 64th Street, according to MDSO spokesperson Samantha Choon. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the girl to the hospital where deputies say she is now in stable condition.
“The mom was outside of the vehicle at the time, so this could have been a very different outcome,” Choon told reporters at the scene of the shooting. Neither the mom nor the other two children were injured.

No arrests have been made and deputies have yet to release any information on the shooter.
