Woman killed in stabbing at a Brickell high-rise, authorities say

A woman was stabbed to death at a Brickell apartment complex early Friday morning, according to Miami police. A man has been detained for questioning.

Around 4:45 a.m., officers arrived at Solitair Brickell Apartments, 86 SW Eighth St., after reports of a stabbing. They found a woman in her 60s “suffering from multiple stab wounds” inside an apartment, said spokeswoman Kenia Fallat.

Miami Fire Rescue pronounced her dead at the scene, said spokesman Lt. Pete Sanchez.

Police say the stabbing appears to be a domestic-related.
