Woman dies after falling off hood of moving SUV in Fort Lauderdale, police say
A woman died early Tuesday after she fell off the hood of a moving SUV, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

Around 2 a.m., officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on the 400 block of Southeast 32nd Street, a department spokesperson said.
When they arrived, officers learned the crash involved a man and a woman who knew each other, police said. The pair had been fighting at a nearby hotel.
He tried to leave the hotel as the argument escalated, police said. The woman jumped on his hood and fell off while the vehicle was in motion.

The man, who was not identified, stopped and called police. She was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where she died.
Detectives are investigating the incident, police said. The woman’s identity will be released upon notification of next of kin.
