U.S. Rep Nancy Mace Grabs Everyone’s Attention With Sideline Outfit

U.S. Representative Nancy Mace took in some college football on Saturday afternoon, September 19.

The U.S. politician shared a sideline photo from the South Carolina vs. Mississippi State game on Saturday afternoon.

Mace, 48, has served as the U.S. representative for South Carolina’s 1st congressional district since 2021. Unfortunately, it was a tough day for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina fell to Mississippi State, 41-34, on Saturday afternoon. Mace rocked an all-black outfit while on the sideline Saturday.

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer has been under major fire following the loss, too.

Beamer took aim at the media while speaking postgame.

“Certainly, really, really disappointing with us and how we performed overall tonight,” Beamer began his press conference. “Just told the team, this moment won’t define this football team. I know you guys and the articles y’all write and narratives and all that, you’re going to try and define this team based on what just happened tonight, and that’s not the case. We’ll be defined, this team will, by how we respond from this night.”

Beamer had reason to be tense, too. Late in the game, South Carolina fans broke out in a “Fire Beamer” chant that the head coach could surely hear from the sideline on Saturday evening.

It’s unclear if South Carolina will move on from Beamer soon, though.

According to Greenville Online, Beamer’s buyout is currently $27.9 million. On Dec. 31, that number drops to to $22.1 million, which could make it an easier number for South Carolina to swallow, if the Gamecocks end up wanting to make a change.

The son of the legendary Virginia Tech head coach is 32-34 overall at South Carolina. The Gamecocks were a disappointing 4-8 last season and appear to be in line for a disappointing year this fall, too.
