El Machetico opens its doors on Saturday, Aug. 15, bringing its famous larger-than-life takes on traditional Colombian dishes, according to the restaurant’s Aug. 6 Instagram post.

The Miami-based Latin chain shared the news of its first Broward location in April, with location details revealed in May with a “Coming Soon” sign posted at 207 N. Hiatus Road, the former home of Brandon’s Bistro. The soul food spot has since relocated to Miramar Town Center, a move announced in late April.
