A man was shot and killed near a Homestead elementary school on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officers responded to the area of Southwest Sixth Avenue after reports of a shooting near Laura C. Saunders Elementary School, and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds
Officers secured the scene and gave the man medical assistance until Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived, but he died at the scene, police say.
