Shortly after 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting in an industrial area near 3316 NW 38th St., Castillo said at a news briefing.

The victim was not identified by authorities, and it is unclear how many times or where he was shot, according to Castillo.

While details of the shooting are still unfolding, it appears two men were having a dispute when one of the men grabbed a gun and started firing off rounds, Castillo said. The shooter left before deputies arrived.
It’s unclear whether the men knew each other or what the argument was over. Detectives are investigating.
Castillo wasn’t able to provide a description of the shooter. Anyone with information is asked to contact 305-471-TIPS, he said. No additional information was immediately available Monday night.
