Josh Allen’s Postgame Interview Sparks Controversy Over Flu Concerns

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen put on a clinic Thursday night against the Detroit Lions, but he may have made a mistake appearing on Prime Video’s postgame show.

The Bills opened up the new Highmark Stadium with a 41-31 win over the Lions to improve their record to 2-0 this season. Allen was sensational, completing 20 of 31 passes for 248 yards with three touchdowns. The former MVP also had 69 yards and two scores on the ground.

“I caught myself taking it all in an understanding how cool what I get to do. My job is the coolest in the world,” Allen said. “It’s everything I ever wanted, to be the quarterback of an NFL franchise. I’m just very fortunate to have ended up in Buffalo.”

After leading the Bills to a statement win, Allen appeared on Prime Video’s postgame show to chat with Andrew Whitworth and the rest of the crew.

During Prime Video’s postgame show, Richard Sherman revealed that Allen was feeling ill prior to kickoff. The future Hall of Famer said Allen was “shivering in a hot tub” and getting IVs from the medical staff.

Allen didn’t confirm nor deny Sherman’s comments, but fans had a lot to say about his possible “flu game.”

Questionable mov by Josh Allen?

While fans aren’t surprised that Allen played through this issue, they’re disappointed that he agreed to be part of the postgame show despite potentially being contagious.

“Has the flu which is super contagious, but plays a contact sport for 3 hours AND is sitting right next to multiple people during this interview. So either he has the flu and is selfish, or he and his PR team are lying and he’s just disingenuous,” one fan said.

“He has the flu but he’s up there all in their face,” a second fan commented. “Ok.”

“He is playing through the FLU and then sits right in the middle of the Prime crew. Doesn’t sound very smart. If he really has the FLU they are all about to get it. What idiots,” another fan declared.
