Final Injury Report for Steelers-Patriots: Will TreVeyon Henderson, Michael Pittman Jr. Play?

The New England Patriots are at home Sunday afternoon as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 2 AFC showdown.

Pittsburgh enters Sunday’s contest with a 1-0 record after defeating the Atlanta Falcons at home in Week 1.

T.J. Watt led the way for the Steelers in their Week 1 victory as he ended the game with two sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown while Aaron Rodgers recorded 221 passing yards and one passing touchdown.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday afternoon’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

The Steelers have three players listed on their injury report, including wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and cornerback Joey Porter Jr.

Pittsburgh has ruled out Pittman Jr. due to a foot injury as he will miss his first game of the season.

With Pittman Jr. sidelined, DK Metcalf and Roman Wilson could both be in line for increased roles.

The Steelers have listed left tackle Troy Fautanu as questionable due to an ankle injury while Porter Jr. has been ruled out due to a back injury and an unresolved contract dispute.

The Patriots have four players listed on their injury report, though running back TreVeyon Henderson is not one of them.

Of course, Henderson missed New England’s Week 1 loss due to an ankle injury but he is off the injury report and will return against the Steelers.

New England has listed offensive lineman Ben Brown as questionable due to a knee injury while linebacker Dre’Mont Jones is questionable with a foot injury.

The Patriots have ruled out cornerback Carlton Davis III due to a neck injury while tackle Dametrious Crownover is out with a knee injury as both players will miss their first game of the season.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown has also been ruled out after being placed on injured reserve due to a high ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 1. Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury.
