Drea De Matteo couldn’t attend Miami gala, so she did the next best thing
It’s been almost two decades since “The Sopranos” went off the air.
And one of the beloved TV show’s unforgettable stars, Drea De Matteo, has managed to reinvent herself a few times.

These days, the actress who played mafiosa girlfriend turned wacked FBI informant Adriana, is still in the entertainment industry and recently started an OnlyFans page. She also hosts the “Ultrafree” podcast, described as “a space for curiosity over conformity.”
Add to that: De Matteo happened to be one of the guests of honor Friday night at the fifth annual Light Up the Night Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami in Brickell. But anyone hoping to get a selfie with her were in for a slight disappointment.
The Primetime Emmy winner, who was feted for advocating for women’s health during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, was under the weather and could not make the trip.
De Matteo did send a message via Zoom to attendees of the black-tie affair, who included “Real Housewives of Miami” cast members Larsa Pippen, Kiki Barth and Alexia Nepola.
The upscale party raised money for the Luminous Advocacy Project Foundation, a nonprofit advancing breast health awareness and early detection. Its founder, local entrepreneur Marilyn Dans, is working to get FDA approval for the so-called Pink Luminous Breast device, an LED tool that can help detect tissue abnormalities in between mammograms.

In her video, De Matteo was jokingly using one of the sleek, handheld gadgets (currently sold only in Europe) as a mic.
“Coming to you live, from my sick bed!” the native New Yorker told the crowd. “I’m delirious because I’ve been sick in my bed for days.”
De Matteo wasn’t really delirious at all, more like 100% on her game. The “Sons of Anarchy” alum went on to thank organizers, and talk about the Big C. According to the American Cancer Society, the most recent official U.S. estimates for 2027 project about 321,910 new invasive breast cancer cases in women.
“The first step to healing yourself is knowing yourself,” said the mother of two (with ex, country singer Shooter Jennings), adding that it was ironic that the very thing that makes us female is also causing us to be ill. “All the women out there fighting this fight, you are superheroes.”
