Car crashes through Dollar Tree storefront in Florida Keys, sheriff says

A car crashed through the glass entrance of a Dollar Tree store in the Florida Keys late Wednesday afternoon, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office released photos of the black Honda CR-V deep inside the store with debris surrounding the vehicle.

The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. at the store, located at 10996 Overseas Highway in the Middle Keys city of Marathon.

Sheriff Rick Ramsay told the Miami Herald that despite the damage to the store, there were only minor injuries. The crash is under investigation, and the sheriff’s office did not have immediate details.

The crash happened a day after a car crashed into an El Palacio de los Jugos Cuban restaurant in Miami-Dade County, sending three people to hospitals.
