Caitlin Clark Had 3 Words After Stephanie White’s Indiana Fever Admission

Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark kept it real during her postgame press interview with Stephanie White following their 103-85 win against the Toronto Tempo on Friday night.

Heading into their road matchup against the Tempo, White and the Fever knew that Kelsey Mitchell needed only 21 points to set the record for the most points in a single WNBA season.

Mitchell ultimately broke the record, finishing with a season total of 1,034 points. She eclipsed the previous record set by Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson with 1,021 points in 2024.

But when reporters asked Coach White if she was tracking Mitchell’s scoring record during the game, the former WNBA Coach of the Year admitted that she wasn’t paying attention to it in real time.

“I was not, no,” White said. “Once the game starts, I don’t really get caught up in that.”

Clark could not help but interject with a three-word reaction to her head coach’s statement.

“We were losing,” Clark said bluntly.

White agreed with her superstar’s comment, adding, “Yeah, we don’t really get caught up in that.”

The Fever eventually held off the home team’s challenge. They improved to 27-14 after marking their third consecutive victory.

More importantly, the win has kept Indiana’s chances of finishing in the top four alive as they aim for home-court advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Fever still have three games remaining in the regular season. They are set to face the Washington Mystics on Sunday, then a back-to-back matchup against the No. 1 seed Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday and Thursday.
