Broward Public Schools assistant principal accused of robbery, domestic violence

A Broward County Public Schools assistant principal was arrested Sunday in Weston in connection with an off-campus incident.

Marc Horowitz, 53, is charged with robbery by sudden snatching and domestic violence battery, records show. He was being held with bond to be set at the Broward Main Jail.

Horowitz, who is an assistant principal at Orange Brook Elementary School in Hollywood, has been “reassigned from the school following an off-campus incident, pending further Human Resources review and action, which may include termination,” BCPS spokesperson John J. Sullivan told NBC6.

Spokespeople for Broward County Public Schools and the Broward Sheriff’s Office didn’t respond Sunday to requests for comments. The alleged details surrounding his arrest haven’t been made public yet.
