The crash happened at the college’s entrance at 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

Three people were taken to Wellen Park ER and one to Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Venice campus, according to an 11:22 a.m. update from the sheriff’s office.

One person declined treatment, and two were evaluated and released at the scene.

Photos shared by the sheriff’s office show the front of the bus against the college’s monument sign, which appears damaged.

The sheriff’s office said the crash was not blocking the road when it posted the update. It did not provide details about what led to the collision or the extent of the injuries.
