Teen in extremely critical condition after Miami shooting, officials say
A 17-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital after being shot early Saturday morning, authorities say.

Around 1:50 a.m., Miami Fire Rescue rushed to calls of the teen suffering from an “alleged gunshot wound” in the area of Northwest 23rd Court and 38th Street, agency spokesperson Lt. Pete Sanchez said.
The boy was taken in extremely critical condition to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Shortly after treating the 17-year-old, fire crews also attended to a 45-year-old woman.

She was taken to Jackson Memorial to be evaluated, but she did not appear to be injured, Sanchez said.
The Miami Police Department did not immediately respond for comments about the shooting.
