A person was injured Thursday after their car was reportedly struck by lightning, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Crews responded to a medical call after “reports of a vehicle possibly hit by lightning,” and a person was taken to a trauma center, an MDFR spokesperson said. The incident happened on the 9300 block of Northwest 41st Street in Doral.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue didn’t provide a time for the incident, identify the individual or provide information about their condition. An MDFR spokesperson said “this is all the information we have.”
