Nightlife mogul lists $12M Miami Beach home. See luxury listings, contracts, sales

The longtime manager of Norwegian DJ Kygo listed his Mid-Beach home for just under $12 million last week.

The listing of the six-bedroom home at 4442 Prairie Ave., which backs up to Biscayne Waterway, was a top listing in a relatively slow week for Miami-Dade’s luxury real estate market.

Twelve contracts for homes over $4 million were signed Aug. 24-30, according to a weekly luxury real estate report from Douglas Elliman agents Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes. The contracts were worth a total of $83.4 million, compared to the previous week, when 22 contracts worth nearly $250 million were signed. Last year, from Aug. 24-30, 16 contracts worth a total of $195 million were signed.

Myles Shear, who has managed Kygo for more than a decade, co-founded the Miami-based lifestyle and nightlife brand Palm Tree Crew with the DJ. The brand owns Palm Tree Club, a hotel, restaurant and nightlife venue in North Bay Village. Celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio and Ivanka Trump have been spotted partying at the club.

Palm Tree Crew recently launched its first branded condo project in partnership with real estate developer PMG. The Palm Tree Residences is planned for downtown Miami, with units ranging from $560,000 to $3 million.

Devin Kay, a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman who sells luxury homes in Miami Beach, is representing Shear. He said the Mid-Beach property is a rare find — a waterfront home in Miami Beach for less than $15 million.

Four of last week’s top single-family home contracts were in Pinecrest, a South Miami-Dade suburb that’s become a luxury real estate hotspot, especially for buyers in search of more space. The number of luxury homes on Pinecrest’s leafy residential streets has been growing in recent years, and last year, a $19.5 million home set a record for the most expensive home sold in the city.

Last week’s top contract was a Pinecrest spec home at 6290 Chapman Field Dr., which went under contract for $16.25 million, followed by a home about a mile away at 6060 SW 118th St., which went under contract for $9.6 million. Two more Pinecrest homes went under contract last week: one for just under $5 million, and one for just over $4 million.

Miami-Dade’s top condo contracts were both in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood. A unit in the 321 Ocean Drive condo building went under contract for $10.4 million, and a unit in the Continuum tower went under contract for $8 million.
