Crews responded to the altercation shortly before 12:30 p.m. and found an 18-year-old man with a stab wound, said, Lt. Pete Sanchez, a Miami Fire Rescue spokesman, said. Authorities also found a 15-year-old boy with a laceration to the hand. They were both taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Sanchez referred other questions to Miami-Dade Schools Police Department Executive Officer Jandro Suarez, who didn’t immediately respond Monday night to a request for comment.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is aware of an “incident involving students at one of our high schools,” and it was addressed by school administration and police, resulting in criminal charges, school district spokesperson Elmo Lugo said.
