Diver dies after being pulled from the ocean off Hallandale Beach, police say
A man died in a hospital after he was found unconscious in the ocean off Hallandale Beach on Friday morning, police said.

After officers found the man off the 1800 block of South Ocean Drive around 9:30 a.m., Hallandale Beach Ocean Rescue lifeguards pulled him from the water and began CPR and other life-saving efforts, police said.
Police said they believe he was free-diving when he lost consciousness, department spokeswoman Grace Mariot said.
Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue paramedics took him to a hospital, where he died. Police did not say which hospital he was taken to.

Authorities have not identified the man or released his age pending notification of his family.
Police are investigating the death, but say there are no indications of foul play.
