Man fatally shot in West Park, Broward Sheriff’s Office says

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in West Park early Monday morning.

Deputies responded to the 2300 block of Southwest 46th Avenue around 1 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a shooting.

The deputies found the man, who has not been named, suffering from gunshot wounds, Claudinne Caro, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman, said. They immediately began life-saving efforts, but paramedics declared him dead, Caro said.

The sheriff’s office did not release any other details of the shooting, but said it remains under investigation.
