Will Ariana Grande return to Florida during career move amid ‘scrutiny’?

Ariana Grande is taking some well-deserved time off after a grueling few years of being in the nonstop spotlight. Ever the pro, the 33-year-old pop star will complete her Eternal Sunshine Tour next month, then devote some time to herself.

“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility,” her rep told People in a statement Sunday, adding her client will take a break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”

The move means that Grande will not be part of a highly anticipated future project, the West End stage revival of the 1984 Stephen Sondheim musical “Sunday in the Park with George” with “Wicked” costar Jonathan Bailey.

Producers of the show, which will still be performed in London next summer with a different actress, told People they support her decision and “wish her nothing but the best.”

Of course, everyone wishes her the best, as evidenced by the comments on People’s Instagram post that shared the article. A good number of folks assume that Grande, who has been seen looking noticeably thinner in the last year or so, has an eating disorder.

“I think we could should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies,” wrote one sympathetic social media user. “No matter what.”

On Monday, Grande addressed the elephant in the room at her Chicago concert at the United Center.

“So basically the announcement that was made yesterday was not a reactive or impulsive thing. It is something that I had decided to plan, that I had quietly made a long time ago and it was made from a thoughtful and empowered place,” she told the audience, as per Billboard. “Yes, boundaries, they need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes. And also, this can be and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life.”

So what next when the tour wraps? Where will she go? What will she do and where?

We’re betting that Grande may end up back at home in Boca Raton, where she still has a built-in support system of family and friends.

While in South Florida for a few stops on her tour at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise last month she told the audience how happy she was to be in the Sunshine State: “Florida, I love you with all my heart forever.”

Speaking of love, while in town, the “Victorious” alum was spotted with an ex-bf, dancer Ricky Alvarez, doing everyday cute coupley things like grocery shopping at Whole Foods.

That relationship seems to be back on track, the US Sun reports, and will hopefully help the Grammy winner get her groove back.

Grande split with real estate pro husband Dalton Gomez in the summer of 2023 and was soon linked to her married “Wicked” costar Ethan Slater, who also eventually got a divorce.

“It’s an understatement to say Ariana has had a tricky time with her love life, but Ricky is a steady, normal guy and he’s a rock for her,” a source told the outlet. “They are seeing each other again, but they are trying to take it slow because she is so busy with the tour and needs to focus on that. There has always been a strong connection there and they are revisiting it. She seems really happy.”
