The cost of gas is down several cents a gallon in Miami-Dade, Broward and across Florida on Friday, July 31. But $4 gas is still a reality across the country and parts of South Florida.

Here’s what to know:

Gas prices in South Florida

Miami-Dade: The average price: $3.90 on Friday, July 31, a 6-cent decrease since Monday, according to AAA.

Fort Lauderdale: $3.95, a 6-cent decrease since Monday.

West Palm Beach/Boca Raton: $4.05, a 7-cent decrease since Monday.

Florida Keys: $4.10, a 9-cent decrease since Monday.

Average: The average price for a gallon of gas in Florida on Friday, July 31, according to AAA, is $3.88, an 8-cent increase since Monday.

Average: The average price for a gallon of gas across the country on Friday, July 31, according to AAA, is $4.10, a 1-cent decrease since Monday.

How to find cheap gas near you

There’s an app to help: The GasBuddy app was built to show motorists prices around them and a fuel tracker can update users on stations that have or don’t have fuel based on supply changes.
