Just after Tyler Herro’s trade to the Milwaukee Bucks was made official, the Miami Heat star put his Pinecrest mansion up for sale.

The Wisconsin-born guard listed his eight-bedroom home, 9,019-square-foot home at 12900 SW 63rd Ave. for $12 million on Monday.

The one-time All-Star was part of a major trade finalized this week after a seven-year run with the Heat. The Heat picked up Bucks players Bobby Portis Jr. and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in exchange for Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware and Kasparas Jakučionis.

“Seven years. It’s hard to put into words what this city has meant to me,” Herro said in a statement after the trade was finalized. “As excited as I am for this next chapter back home in Milwaukee, a part of me will always belong to Miami.”

Lourdes Alatriste of Douglas Elliman is the listing agent for Herro’s house, and George Sarkis, also of Douglas Elliman, is the property’s marketing advisor. Alatriste declined to comment further on the listing.

The home, which the listing says was inspired by the tropical Indonesian island of Bali, features a movie theater, chef’s kitchen and custom dressing room.

Herro, 26, had two children with his girlfriend Katya Elise Henry during his time in Miami. He bought the Pinecrest mansion in 2023, shortly before the birth of his son. He paid $10.5 million for the home, which was built in 2021.

Herro will be earning a salary of $33 million in his upcoming season with the Bucks. Antetokounmpo, the biggest star in the multi-player trade, will be making more than $58 million with the Heat.

Pinecrest, a South Miami-Dade town east of Kendall, has transformed in recent years from a wealthy, but quiet Miami suburb to a luxury hotspot where homes sell for multimillion-dollar prices. In May, one Pinecrest mansion, 6701 SW 101st St., was listed for $25 million.

That mansion, which is about two miles from Herro’s home, was the most expensive home ever listed in Pinecrest, real estate agent Julian Johnston said at the time. Johnston broke the town’s previous record last year when he sold a house for $19.5 million.

Pinecrest has become popular with wealthy buyers looking for more space, Johnston said. Lots in Pinecrest are often larger than in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and other high-end areas in Miami-Dade. That means buyers looking for sprawling compounds or more privacy may find what they’re looking for there.
