A 5-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a pickup truck at a dirt-bike park, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

At around 9:15 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a traffic crash at Miami Motocross Park, located at 16665 NW Krome Ave. in Hialeah Gardens.
Investigators say the boy was riding a bicycle in between cars and crossed in front of a pickup truck that was exiting the park.

The boy died at the scene.
Miami Motocross Park released a statement on social media announcing the cancellation of a race this weekend due to “extremely unfortunate circumstances.”
