Deputies responded to a reported stabbing on the 5300 block of NW 28th Avenue at around 7:45 p.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. They found 58-year-old Ylda Cabello-Ynocente with multiple stab wounds; she died at the home.
Her son, Manuel Farfan-Cabello, 28, was also at the home, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives determined that he killed his mother, although the statement did not include details on how they arrived at that conclusion.
