He first partially stopped under the crossing gate, investigators say.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>As the train drew closer, the man sped under the gate directly into the Tri-Rail\u2019s path, authorities. The front of the train hit the driver\u2019s side of the SUV \u201cin a \u2018T-bone\u2019 type impact,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The train pushed the car about 1,300 feet before it came to a stop.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Tri-Rail runs between the Miami International Airport and Mangonia Park in Palm Beach County, with a spur to the Brightline station in downtown Miami.
