Coaches Poll Week 4: Texas A&M is Ranked Where?
Kentucky beat Texas A&M on Saturday 31-21 in College Station, Texas, in a win that was far more dominant than the final score would indicate. The Wildcats are now 2-1, with the lone loss to a rolling Alabama team that was ranked 8th in the Week 4 Coaches Poll.
So Kentucky is ranked ahead of 2-1 Texas A&M – whose wins are over Missouri State and Arizona State – right? Nope.
Texas A&M was No. 8 last week, and it only dropped to 20. Kentucky not only wasn’t ranked ahead of the Aggies, but it wasn’t even in the top 25, technically ranked 30th. Here’s the rest of the latest Coaches Poll Top 25.
Coaches Poll Week 4 Quick Hits
- Texas A&M over Kentucky is bad, but the Tulsa problem might be even worse. The 3-0 Golden Hurricane beat Oklahoma State by 14, and the Cowboys beat Oregon last week. Oregon is 16, Oklahoma State is 31, and Tulsa is 36.
- Ole Miss moved up to three spots to No. 6 after its win over LSU. The Tigers dropped to 11.
- Louisville is the newcomer to the poll, ranked 19 after its win over SMU.
