Colin Kaepernick Snubs Peyton Manning From His Top 5 NFL Quarterbacks Ever List

Colin Kaepernick was asked by the “All The Smoke” podcast to rank the five greatest NFL quarterbacks in history.

His list is sparking a lot of debate.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who last played in the league in 2016, is standing by his list, even though a lot of NFL fans are criticizing him for his controversial ranking.

Kaepernick’s top five NFL quarterbacks of all-time are:

Doug Williams
Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers
Patrick Mahomes
Joe Montana

The biggest snub, of course, is Peyton Manning.

Manning, a five-time NFL MVP, won two Super Bowls and is widely considered to be one of the greatest players in NFL history.

Fans speak out on Kaepernick’s QB list

Doug Williams was the first Black quarterback to win a Super Bowl, but ranking him ahead of Peyton Manning is questionable.

“So Doug Williams was better than John Elway, Dan Marino, Steve Young , Jim Kelly, Warren moon, and Brett Favre?? Did I miss something growing up in the 80’s & 90’s? 😮😮,” one fan wrote.

“Tom Brady Aaron Rodgers Peyton manning Drew Brees and Mahomes are my top 5 qb of all time!” one fan added.

“Brady, Montana, Mahomes, Peyton, Elway top 5 greatest Quarterbacks ever,” one fan added.

“Saying Doug Williams over someone like Peyton Manning makes me second guess whether Brady is great just because Kaepernick also said that. That’s a take I’ve never heard before,” one fan added.

It’s a controversial list, but it’s Kaepernick. Everyone is allowed to have their own individual top fives. Kaepernick is clearly a major fan of Doug Williams, who was a historic figure for many growing up, and an incredibly important part of the NFL’s evolution at the quarterback position.
