Community Cooperative’s Meals on Wheels wins Quality Senior Living Award

A Southwest Florida Meals on Wheels program is being recognized for “its outstanding commitment to improving the lives of older adults” throughout the community.

Meals on Wheels of Southwest Florida, a program of Community Cooperative, was honored with the 2026 Quality Senior Living Award by the Florida Council on Aging.

On weekdays, Meals on Wheels of Southwest Florida delivers hundreds of meals to homebound neighbors who are unable to shop or cook for themselves whether because of their age, or because of illness or a disability. Volunteer drivers also provide an important wellness check and friendly visit.

“The Quality Senior Living Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in supporting seniors through innovative programs, compassionate service, and a commitment to helping older adults live healthier, more independent lives,” the agency said in a press release.
