Crews responded to the area of 2328 SW 18 St. around 1:30 a.m. in connection with a stabbing, according to Lt. Pete Sanchez, a Miami Fire Rescue spokesman. They found a 43-year-old man “with multiple deep lacerations from an alleged machete,” who was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates the stabbing may have stemmed from a dispute between two men, Miami Police Department spokesperson Kenia Fallat said. Authorities did not identify the victim beyond saying he was “believed to be in his 40s.”
