The cost of gas is up several cents a gallon in Miami-Dade, Broward and across Florida on Friday, Aug 14. The upward trend continues from the beginning of the week.
Here’s what to know:
Gas prices in South Florida
Miami-Dade: The average price: $3.93 on Friday, Aug. 14, a 5-cent increase since Monday, according to AAA.
Fort Lauderdale: $3.97, a 4-cent increase since Monday.
West Palm Beach/Boca Raton: $4.90, a 6-cent increase since Monday.
Florida Keys: $4.16, 6-cent increase since Monday.
Florida price at the pump
Average: The average price for a gallon of gas in Florida on Friday, Aug. 14, according to AAA, is $3.92, a 6-cent increase since Monday.

U.S. price at the pump
Average: The average price for a gallon of gas across the country on Friday, Aug. 14, according to AAA, is $4.07, a 7-cent increase since Monday.
How to find cheap gas near you
There’s an app to help: The GasBuddy app was built to show motorists prices around them and a fuel tracker can update users on stations that have or don’t have fuel based on supply changes.
