Man shot several times in Hallandale Beach and found in a car, police say

A late night shooting in Hallandale Beach has left one man dead, according to police.

Around 10:40 p.m., Hallandale Beach officers responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Pembroke Road, where a wounded man and the witness had stopped to call 911.

Police arrived to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car. Police and Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue gave aid, but the man died.

Police say the shooting happened about a mile away in the 600 block of Northwest Fourth Court. The man and the witness left that location in a car before stopping nearby on Pembroke Road to call 911.

What led to the shooting remains unclear, police say. No arrests have been made.
